Our Story

We met by chance in Austin, Texas. Sarah was there on a trip with friends, and Andy just happened to be in the right place at the right time. That weekend sparked something special, and soon after we were dating long-distance between Portland and Austin.

In the time that followed, we made the most of the miles between us. From Napa to Mexico, New York to Hawaii, Iceland to West Texas, we explored the world together and discovered that no matter the place, we fit well together and enjoyed discovering new experiences with each other.

Eventually, Andy moved to Portland, and a few months later we bought a home together. We continued to travel, camp, and run marathons side by side, building a life full of adventure, movement, and love.

Then, in the city where it all began, Andy brought Sarah back to Austin and proposed while paddleboarding on Lady Bird Lake with the skyline behind us. He gave her a ring over open water  -in true Andy fashion - and she said yes.

Now we’re so excited to begin our next chapter in Sicily, surrounded by the people we love most. Thank you for being part of our story.
